Leopard: Customization Made Simple?
One of the things I love about Apple is how easy they tend to make things. Apparently a LOT of people don’t like the default dock in Leopard. Lots of people are customizing the dock. Some just want the black triangles back instead of the “LED” light.Other people are changing the dock it self. From “Sky” and “Wood” to changing the color and of course the first mod, smoked dock.With a bit of Unix and Photoshop knowledge this is incredibly easy to do. But even then Candy Bar 3 is set to change the dock in addition to it’s normal job of Icon control.And if that is not enough, you can change the stack icons to be a bit more friendly to your dock. Other customizations include stationary in the Mail Application.Did Apple do this on purpose or is it just a by product of their coding process? I don’t know but I can say with some authority that people are going to continue to configure and customize their Leopard installs as much as possible. I’m just waiting for someone to release an entire Leopard Theme.
The power of the Internet never ceases to astound me sometimes. Some one has created Leoparddocks.com and is collecting all the dock varieties so far. As of this moment in time there are 41 variations.
And for the really nit-picky Apple users, Displaperture brings back the rounded corners on the top menu bar back.
While I don't really care one way or the other. I would like all the corners in all the GUI elements to stay the same.

Quicklook for Folders is an amazing little plugin that brings the Quicklook function to folders. Since I found this I've been using it very heavily.
Appletell just posted a complete list of Leopard tweaks. Some of them are already on this list or have been covered by me already. But it's nice to have them all in one place.
LifeHacker just made a post that lists almost all of these tweaks in one easy to find place.
