I ran across this blog about a guy who used Undercover, a Mac program that tracks the IP usage of your stolen Mac, takes pictures with the built in camera, and even sends screen shots of the display when the computer is reported stolen. In his case it took two months to recover the laptop, but he got it back in the end. Orbicule’s web site has some more recovery stories, enough to make you think eh?

Actually in the market for something like this myself I did a bit more research and came across a review of Undercover on The Apple Blog. Stories like this always make me thing, what would I do to protect my machine?
