Welcome to my blog. First please visit Rick Tech who was kind enough to give me a place on the InterTubesWebPornGoogle thingy. I use to think I was apolitical, I dutifully voted what my party said to vote. My party was chosen because of my parents and church affiliations. But that has been changing. The America our Grandparents and Parents fought for no longer exists. As Americans I feel that any iota of trust our Elected Officials once had has been run into the ground and trampled over.
America is no longer the World’s benevolent family friend. Instead we’re seen as the bully next door. The mean teacher in grade school who unfairly hands out tests. The police officer who gives tickets for going 37 in a 35mph zone. The World is pushing back, and isn’t going to take it any more.
But they’re right. Due to our hackneyed political process, American Policy has careened all over the spectrum. There has not been an overall long term goal to achieve for years and one could argue, for ever. Sure we’ve had some short term goals. The Monroe Doctrine, Spanish-American War, World War II, Kick Commie Ass Part I through Part IV, and “Make as much money as possible in any way possible.”
I propose that the United States of America has a new long term goal. It’ll take hard work and sacrifice from every American no matter which Class, Social Standing, Sexual Preference(s), Race, nation of origin, actual citizenship status, age, or how much is available to keep the IRS from Taxing it. The United States of America must concentrate on bettering the life of it’s FUTURE citizens. Not just the current ones, but the ones coming down the line too.
Hard Work and Sacrifice people. Not for ourselves, but for our kids, our grandchildren and generations of Americans who haven’t even been thought of yet.
